NHL2K9 Video Game Consoles

Foster Hewitt

Pioneer broadcaster Foster Hewitt perched up in the ‘Gondola’ of Maple Leaf Gardens.
TSN/RDS's refurbished Broadcast Zone provides an interactive, entertaining and educational first-hand look at the evolution of television hockey broadcasting. Using state-of-the-art technology, you can explore the TV broadcast world from a variety of angles, both on and off the camera.

TSN/RDS Broadcast Pods
In the newly, updated TSN/RDS Broadcast Pods, relocated to the new mezzanine area overlooking the NHLPA Be A Player Zone, guides Gord Miller and Yvon Pedneault help you choose from a menu of classic hockey games and then put you behind the microphone to try your hand at calling the action. Clips range from the NHL to international women’s hockey, and can be selected through a number of categories including legendary broadcasters and the latest TSN video highlights provided through high-speed internet connection.

Visitors will receive private access to hear their play-by-play via HHOF.com

Tour of the Production Mobile
The Tour of the Production Mobile, aka ‘The Truck’, comprises a series of kiosks within a simulated Production Mobile. Beyond explaining the role and responsibilities of an individual member of the broadcast team, visitors can take the production reigns and compose their own clip. Select the camera angles, mix the audio, schedule the replays, and control the broadcast pace.

Broadcast Museum
Using a gesture-recognition interface system, whereby users simply stand and point at the menu selections on-screen, the Broadcast Museum exhibit provides hundreds of video and audio clips chronicling the greatest calls and broadcasters the game hockey has ever witnessed, from Norman Albert’s first radio broadcast in 1923 to the new millennium’s top commentators.

2K SPORTS NHL2K ZONE
Pick-up and play against the NHL's best in the new NHL 2K9 video game now in the 2K Sports NHL2K Zone of the Hockey Hall of Fame. NHL 2K9 offers brand new gameplay features including superstar moves, friendly Zamboni competitions and even custom Stanley Cup celebrations. Developed by Visual Concepts, an award-winning 2K studio, NHL 2K9 brings a totally rebuilt NHL experience to life with fresh player animations that fans will enjoy from the moment they start their first game.

Also don't miss the hockey broadcast visual timeline located beneath the mezzanine level.
